Academic
VersaCAD is the best software to use to teach students the fundamental
concepts and tools of CADD in the market today.
The largest single block of VersaCAD users would be schools using
VersaCAD for teaching the fundamentals of computer-aided-design/drafting.
We believe over 1,000,000 students have learned VersaCAD at 5000
schools since 1980.
Coastline Community College district in Orange County, California
conducted a controlled study comparing how well students learned
VersaCAD versus AutoCAD. One group studied both VersaCAD and
AutoCAD during the one semester study. The first half of the
semester was focused on VersaCAD; the second half focused on AutoCAD
The other group only learned AutoCAD during the same semester.
They discovered that students who studied both VersaCAD and AutoCAD
did better on AutoCAD than students who focused the entire semester
on AutoCAD only. The researchers determined that VersaCAD
is so much easier and quicker to learn. By learning the
concepts of drafting with VersaCAD in the first half of the semester,
they more readily grasped how AutoCAD's concepts and tools worked
during the second half of the semester.
