Color standard/encapsulated Postscript now supported
New Tablet and VersaCAD Overlays
Create multilines of a specific length
Automatic recalculation of dimensions
Scaleable extension lines
Ability to change marker types
Capability to remove or include extension lines
Object manipulation facilities for inside/outside of window definition
Exchange/add copied objects with current group
Convert current group into local symbol without having to save drawing
Support of multiple references to a drawing
Dimensioning setting/insertion at any angle
Angular, diameter, and radial dimension text easily definable
Automatic adjustment of breaks in dimension lines
Symbol selection capabilities by name
Built-in drawing objects include:
lines
multilines
arcs
circles
ellipses
rectangles
polygons
curves (Beziers, fillets, splines, and free-hand sketch)
points
text

Eight built-in linestyles, plus user-definable styles
Edit any drawing object or group of objects:
move
copy
scale
rotate
stretch
mirror image at any angle
explode into component parts
delete and undelete

Group drawing objects:
by common properties (color, level, etc.)
by type (arc, circle, etc.)
by user-defined name
by enclosing in a fence
or any combination of these methods

Create drawing objects with user-definable properties:
line style
line width
line density
level/layer
plotter pen number
screen color
Z-coordinate
optional grouping name

Change properties individually or globally
Place drawing objects on up to 250 levels or layers
Drawing may include virtually limitless number of objects
Display and modify object data such as:
location
length
radius
rotation
area
cross-sectional calculations (center of gravity, movement of inertia, etc.)

Geometry construction utilities for extending or trimming lines/circles/arcs to a common point, and constructing fillets, chamfers, tangent lines, isometric views and cross-hatching (more than 40 patterns included)
Create Bezier curves parallel to a specified Bezier curve
Isometric views automatically projected from orthographic views
Locked Levels option prevents unintentional modification to a drawing on specified layers
Save any drawing or drawing portion as a symbol; up to 1,000 symbols per library
Symbols can be automatically cut into existing objects (such as a door into a wall) as well as scaled, rotated, and broken back into component parts
Attributes for attaching non-graphic information (such as part name, cost, size, and material type) to drawing objects
Reference drawings capability merges copy of one or more previously saved drawings into the workfile
Auto-dimension:
true linear
angular
radial
diametrical
datum dimensioning
along with baseline and chain alignment, tolerances, and limits

Associative linear dimensions dynamically link drawing objects and its dimensions
Change geometry and the dimensions update automatically, and vice versa
Dual dimensioning to display in two different sets of units
Ten built-in units of measure (feet, inches, millimeters, etc.) plus user-definable units
Snap modes lock objects to:
grid intersections
user-defined spacing increments
pre-set object points
object surfaces
object intersections

Drawing aids including center markers and template lines
Built-in or customized proportional fonts and special characters
Create reports of attributes attached to object on the drawing

Display

Zoom in and out, and pan in user-defined increments
Save up to 20 views in a worksession for sequential re-display
Reverse sketch feature for redrawing from last object to first
System support display list processing for quick zoom, pan, and redraw

File Operation

Set format version to 7.0 or 8.0, or .2dx
Ability to store search paths
CTRL-L function available for graphically selecting file names
DXF translator
Merge drawing, with drawing units automatically converted
Automatic, continuous save to work-file protects work against accidental loss
Fastplot capability generates plots in a fraction of the time, using a single set of defaults
File-locking of 2-D drawings files prevents accidental overwriting by users on network
