MAC INTEL VERSACAD 2006

San Francisco, CA. – January 11, 2006 – Archway Systems, Inc. (Archway), developer and marketer of design software solutions including VersaCAD computer-aided design and drafting software, today announced that it will ship its newest product, VersaCAD 2006 for Macintosh, for the new Intel Core Duo Macs.
VersaCAD 2006 for Macintosh was recompiled for the Intel based Macs at the Developer’s Conference in San Francisco last fall. Archway has ordered a MacBook Pro and after receipt will conclude quality control and ship this quarter. The version provides a very fast, versatile, practical and economical design/drafting software for the Mac-based architect, designer, engineer or drafter.
Whether running on an iMac or MacBook Pro with wide screen, VersaCAD 2006 for Macintosh takes full advantage, providing a large viewing area minimizing the need for zooming but plotting to any scale on any size sheet.
Archway Systems emphasizes its unique, VersaCAD Unlimited Corporate License, which reduces costs and increases work quality by making it easily affordable and by allowing for users to install VersaCAD on every computer within an organization, even those used at home by company employees. Rather than following the previous pricing structure wherein users paid for each computer on which VersaCAD was installed, subscribers now purchase an Unlimited Corporate License based on the number range of employees in an organization. The Unlimited Corporate License provides all VersaCAD versions to the licensee including older Macs, PowerMacs, and the new Intel-based Mac plus Windows versions if requested.
The new VersaCAD Unlimited Corporate License also gives owners the right to donate copies of the software and supporting documentation to local educational institutions at no additional charge.

Pricing and Availability

Single copies of VersaCAD 2006 for Macintosh are priced at $795. Premium Service (software updates, new releases and tech support) is available at $595 per year. Site licenses are available at $1,000 per year for companies with up to 10 employees, $1,500 up to 20 employees, $2,000 up to 50 employees, etc. Site license fees include the license and Premium Service plus right to donate a campus license to any local school of choice. Academic pricing is $195 per copy. Academic campus licenses are $995 and include one year of academic Premium Service. Campus Premium Service renewals available at $595 per year.
